Upstate, NY: Part 1

August 10, 2011

I recently paid a visit to my friend Peter Liversidge and his family, while they’re on artistic residency in Chatham, NY at Sean Kelly’s Cady Hall. The space was remodeled from an old theater that Houdini himself once performed in. A lovely white-walled old-grain wood floored space with massively expansive ceilings. Just a short 2-hr train ride north from the NYC up the Hudson river…

2. Some works-in-progress at Cady’s Hall

3. Thomas Liversidge on the best in-studio mode of transport

4. Wildflowers in the back alley

Your ability to give mundane scenes life is admirable. And that portrait is a true work of art. Well on you, Michael.
