Brucie
July 9, 2011
BRUCIE sits quietly in the gauntlet of cafes and bars down the Court/Smith Streets in the Cobble Hill/Carroll Gardens neighborhoods of Brooklyn. It’s notable sandwiches have garnered attention and was thusly sought out by my friends and I for a lunch meeting last week. The space rests below the ground-level, allowing the light from the street to come in and down to cast a lovely wash over the cafe. The sandwich, which was quite large, was terrific (as was the service). Aside from dining-in, their serving of Blue Bottle Coffee or their nice assortment of sodas and sarsaparillas on tap, you can also grab housemade pastas and cheeses to-go.
