January 31

January 31, 2011

Monday greetings. I’ve arrived in NYC for a few weeks amidst some perfect winter climes. Yesterday I left Texas in a warm spell (75º F+), so the snowbanks and dismantling city winds are a welcome host.

1 & 2. A campfire with friends in Austin. My friend Michael lives in the hills outlying the city and his property abuts Lake Austin. Some felled oak and cedar crackling with coyotes yipping down in the canyon made for a nice evening.

3. Visited the Stock Show in Fort Worth. This is the judging arena for the livestock with the announcer awaiting the next lot.

4. A lone horse in his pin in the equine room.

5. An exhibit on aprons at the Cowgirl Museum in Fort Worth.
