The Great American West: Part 2

December 31, 2010

As fate would have it we drove straight into an immense blizzard after having re-routed south to avoid it. Nevertheless, we spent the better part of 5 hours traversing mountain passes in the national forests of Arizona in a tiny compact rental car. After the white had died down from my knuckles; both hands in the 10 & 2 position closely following the tracks of the car in front of us for a seemingly endless foray, we finally had full wind in our sails on the wide-open highway in Arizona’s immense desert floor. We are now safe on the West Coast. More to come shortly. Happy New Year!
